| Stiffkey postmill |
Stiffkey was originally pronounced Stewkey and still is by some locals. Stiffkey postmill may have worked on this site for many years although a much older mill once stood close by. Nothing is really known about this mill except that it was probably owned by Felix Frankling in its latter days and he replaced it with a towermill in 1836.
