Yarmouth South Middle Denes mill no. 6d was a nine storey towermill built to replace an earlier postmill_no._6C, one of several that had been on the site since at least the 1500s. The mill stood between what later became Regent Road and Albion Road but had the address of Regent Road. The mill was the second tallest in Gt Yarmouth after Southtown_High_Mill and also one of the tallest in the county. Patent double shuttered sails powered 3 pairs of stones. The Norfolk boat shaped cap had a petticoat and a fantail. A stage was set around the fourth floor. |
The mill used double shuttered patent sails to power 3 pairs of stones, 2 flour mills and 2 jumpers. One pair of stones was known to be 4 ft. 6 ins and another pair was known to be 4 ft. 8 ins. The sails also powered 2 granite edge runner stones. The Norfolk boat shaped cap had a petticoat and a fantail. A stage was set around the fourth floor. |
In 1836 the mill was producing 80 quarters per week |

Jas. Last's mill stood upon north of Albion Road next the Catholic Schools. Robert Freestone in 1867 was agent here for H. H. Gambling the miller.
