Feltwell Mill Drift postmill was working in the 1600s and was possibly later replaced by the smockmill. In the 1700s Mill Drift was known as Mill Lane. It is possible that the mill was still working into the 1800s and was teh one recorded as being destroyed by fire in 1810.

A windmill at Feltwell, in Norfolk, last week took fire, owing to the friction of the machinery, when the whole was consumed.
