Thorpe next Haddiscoe tower mill stood to the north of Haddiscoe between the hamlet of Thorpe and the village of Haddiscoe. The 4 storey mill had a Norfolk boat shaped cap with a gallery and petticoat. There was a stable style door on the ground floor

One stormy night the sails started to turn against the brake causing it to smoke due to the friction. The miller managed to stop the sails by breaking abottle and putting broken glass between the brake and the brake wheel.
