Old Buckenham Ringerhose postmill was built just to the north of the Dam Brigg crossroads, not long before the Panegryde_postmill that was to be built to the south of the crossroads, technically in the parish of Banham..


There is mention in the Patent & Close Rolls of the 13th & 14th centuries of two windmills in Buckenham, one called Ringerhose & the other Panegryde.

Ralph Ringerhose was a tenant of the Bishop of Ely's Manor of East Dereham in 1250
