Necton post windmill stood on the southwest side of the village at the top of Necton Heath near the Pickenham Road. The mill ran two pairs of French burr stones and a bake office was run from the site.


Lead Found. Supposed to have been Stolen.
In the course of Last Week FOUR PIECES of LEAD weighing about Twenty Stone were found secreted in a muck heap belonging to John Green of Necton, Miller & Baker. Any person having lost the same may have it upon identifying it paying the expences of the advertisement and to the person who found it a reasonable Reward.

J. H. Greenacre is instructed to Sell by Auction on Wednesday 31 January 1844 at the Tuns Inn, Necton
All that Freehold and Copyhold Estate of Mr. Smith Green, Miller and Baker. The above property consists of an excellent POST WINDMILL with two pair of French Stones, Fixtures and going gears attached to the mill. Also a good substantial Dwelling house, Baking office, Floor chamber, Stable and Gig house, Cow houses, Piggeries, Barn, Granary, Outhouses, Cart sheds etc. with a walled in Yard and about 0a. 3r. 8p. of Freehold and Copyhold Land thereto belonging and now in the occupation of Mr. Smith Green the Proprietor.
Possession may be had on the 6th April next.
The sale commences at 6 o'c
