Marham post windmill was recorded in 1275 and may have worked at least into the 1300s.

In the 3rd of Edward I William Belet claimed the lete of his tenants, assize of bread etc. ... About this time William Belet was lord; he and Margaret his wife claimed ... and there belonged to this manor a curucate of land and 10 acres of meadow in demean, 14 villains with their messuages and lands and cottagers with 3 cottages, a windmill, free bull and boar.
