Horningtoft post mill was being worked in the early 1800s along with a bake office when they were described as having worked for many years.

A new built MESSUAGE & Baking office with a capital Windmill & 25a. 0r. 3p. of excellent Land at Horningtoft in the county of Norfolk, together with the growing crops of the said Lands.
The above premises are all freehold except 6a. 1r. of land which are copyhold of the Manor of Horningtoft & an extensive business in the above trade has been carried on in them for many years.
Possession may be had at Michaelmas next & a considerable part of the purchase money may remain on mortgage.
