Holme Hale post mill was on the same site as the Jolly Farmers pub or beerhouse.

On 13th April 1971, William G. Rayner of Necton Road, Holme Hale, wrote to Harry Apling to say that his house was formerly the Jolly Farmers and was possibly the Mill House and also the beerhouse.

John Nelson, son of George Nelson, was born in Holme Hale and baptised in Necton before going on to become miller at Tittleshall_postmill and then Necton_towermill
