Hockwold had a postmill that was working in the 1600s and was probably an open trestle design.


On 4th July 1973, Mr. A. J. Orange of Brandon, wrote to Harry Apling to say he had a map of 1607 that showed a postmill in Hockwold. However, the exact location was not depicted.
