Hockering postmill was working in the 1300s.


On the death of John le Marshall in the 10th of Edward II, (1316-17) it was found that there was a capital messuage & a park here, a wood called SWYNEHAGH with a little wood, a water_mill & a windmill etc. valued at £50 per annum.
