Gunthorpe postmill was run in conjunction with a bake office during the mid 1850s but had probably ceased working by the 1870s..


The will of William Marshall dated 25th November 1778 was proved at Holt on 4th June 1787.
The executrix was Mary Cooper, the wife of Thomas Cooper of Bodham.
To Mary Cooper ... All my Tenement or Cottage within the Outhouses & Yards & Ground ... in Gunthorpe.
No mention was made of the mill.
