Burston postmill stood on Mill Green and ran one pair of stones and a flour mill. The mill was eventually demolished to make way for a new towermill.

A GOOD accustomed Windmill in the Parish of Burston near Diss in Norfolk, with one Pair of Stones & a Flour Mill, in very good Corn country, now in the occupation of Thomas Garland.
