Horning Steam Mill was in operation by 1858 and was on the same site as Horning Mill Loke postmill.

An excellent roomy POST_WINDMILL with Round House, well situated for wind at Horning, within about 200 yards of the Navigable River from Aylsham to Yarmouth.
Also a steam mill, etc.
