John Stranglement -1783 to 1790

John Stranglement was listed in Chase's Directory of 1783 as a millwright at
26, St. Augustine's Street. He died in December 1790

On Wednesday morning (8th) died in St. Augustine's aged 67, Mr. J. Stranglement, mill-wright, and one of the people called Quakers. He went to bed apparently well, was taken ill, at eleven o'clock, and was dead by twelve. In the various duties of husband, father and friend, his family will sustain a heavy loss.
Norfolk Chronicle - 11th December 1790.

All persons indebted to the Estate and Effects of JOHN STRANGLEMENT, deceased, are requested to pay the same to Esther Stranglement, his Widow and Administratrix. And all persons to whom the said John Stranglement stood indebted at the Time of his decease, are requested to send in a state of their Demands, that the same may be forthwith discharged.
Any Person disposed to treat for an advantageous situation in the business of a Carpenter and Millwright, may please to apply to the above Esther Stranglement.
